DLR Group adds Laboratory Planning Expertise
DLR Group CEO Griff Davenport, FAIA, announced today that the firm has added a five-member team of laboratory planning experts. Vicki David, AIA, LEED GA; Ross Graham; Becca Hoynoski; Nicholas Kreitler; and Dave Swanson joined DLR Group on August 6 and will serve clients globally, working from the DLR Group Denver office.

Led by David, this group of design professionals adds an experienced, cohesive team of lab planners, designers, and projects managers to DLR Group. David and team will develop a focused lab planning and design practice serving Federal, Higher Education, K-12 Education, and Workplace clients.
They are recognized as experts in the planning, programming, and design of analytical and clinical laboratories, as well as modern research environments, and bring experience in the design of medical center, academic research, and biotechnology facilities.

Adding this team of professionals elevates the design services provided by our studios to meet the needs of clients and building users,” said Davenport. “We can now offer our public and private sector clients lab planning expertise as a core component of our integrated design approach.”
The team has provided lab planning and design for multiple federal agencies, medical research institutions, universities nation-wide; and domestic and international medical and healthcare facilities.

David is an advocate for LEAN design theory and process and has designed research and lab facilities for advanced technology, healthcare, corporate and non-profit research and development, academic, and medical device clients. She joins the firm as a Principal. David currently serves as vice president of the Colorado Chapter of the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL), a leadership role that allows her to share best practices in lab planning and design to industry practitioners.
