DLR Group Receives Award of Excellence from ENR
DLR Group’s design of the Google Kirkland Campus, Building D received the Award of Excellence for Best Green Project at the Engineering News Record (ENR) Award of Excellence Celebration in New York. This annual event is a two-day celebration honoring ENR’s Top 25 Newsmakers, Award of Excellence Winner, and Best of the Best Projects teams.
The awards competition began in March 2016 when more than 700 construction-industry project teams submitted work to regional ENR Best Projects competitions. Regional winners in a variety of categories where then evaluated to determine national Best of the Best honorees. Through this process, the Google Kirkland Campus, Building D was recognized by ENR as its Green Project of the Year for 2016.
“This is a great honor and validation of DLR Group’s commitment to deliver sustainable, high performance design for our clients,” said DLR Group Global Energy+Engineering Leader Daniel Munn, PE, SE. “This LEED Platinum design advances the sustainability aims of both DLR Group and Google.”
Created in partnership with SRM Development, the Kirkland Campus expansion is focused on environmental stewardship and human well-being to achieve high-performance building design.
