DLR Group Repositions a Local Hotel into a DoubleTree by Hilton
DLR Group teamed with CrossHarbor to reposition The Lodge into a DoubleTree by Hilton. DLR Group's design creates an inspiring environment where alumni, current and prospective students, parents, professors, visitors and business travelers alike can see themselves spending time and feel a sense of place that's true to the town.
The decor blends classic southern art in a blend of bright painterly images of local birds, classic Southern landscapes, historic collegiate photos and fresh modern elements. It will also house a collection of locally sourced vintage art, as well as contemporary art geared towards the university and community.
"It's always fun to work on a repositioning project," said DLR Group Hospitality Leader Staci Patton. "We want to elevate the current design to meet the new needs of the clientele and The Lodge is known by UF alumni but we want to take that a step further."
The scope of work for this 3-story, 115,527 SF property includes 205 guestrooms, renovated public space and courtyard space, a Made Market, and an indoor/outdoor bar and refreshed guestrooms with new finishes and bathrooms and decor. Indoor courtyards allow guests to relax or play during the day and transform into an inviting outdoor area with custom lighting in the evening.
