Elaine Kanelos leads the national business development strategy for DLR Group’s Workplace Studio. Elaine’s years of industry experience have seen her winning work in North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and even Antarctica. Matching this geographic diversity, she has led business development efforts ranging from intimate $5,000 specialty projects to complex $5 billion multidisciplinary P3 pursuits requiring years of positioning and competing. She thrives on the relationship-building process and responding to the unique issues at play for her clients.
“Initially trust is given based on reputation; but long-term relationships are built on trust that’s earned. I love the ‘aha! moment’ when a client really understands how serious we are about honoring the responsibility they’re putting in our hands.”
Elaine works to connect DLR Group Workplace strategists and leaders with progressive clients who are looking to co-creatively shape the future of office environments. DLR Group’s Workplace studio provides tailored interior design and architecture solutions to end users, developers, and brokers. The firm's Energy, Engineering, and Visual Communications services are often incorporated as complements to core Workplace services, resulting in a streamlined in-house delivery model.
“DLR Group’s best project is our next one! Workplace is being revolutionized as we pivot to a more user-centric process and product. We are nowhere near the end, and I’m excited be part of the journey along the path of innovation.”
Elaine is involved in several industry organizations including the Urban Land Institute, NAIOP, and CoreNET. Her dedication to the long view comes in handy when she is participating in Lymphoma and Leukemia Team in Training events, including 100 mile bike rides and high altitude marathons.
