Mary designs systems that integrate with every aspect of a building, and her passion is for lighting. Her design philosophy revolves around seeing light, whether natural and artificial, as the soul of any space. Her approach is an engineered design of the lighting to bring a room alive, and enhance the productivity and comfort of people in the space. This contribution to the user experience supports her belief that designs are nothing without the people that inhabit them.
Mary works daily with designers to enhance both building form and function though the integration of light. Her innovations in lighting design have received recognition from the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America.
“From an electrical perspective, sustainability is all about life cycle costs. It’s about understanding the value of making upfront commitments to energy conservation, and reaping the rewards for the lifetime of your building.”
