"I value the interaction with the clients. Transforming the dream of a client into a coherent vision is personally rewarding. In the end we are, at our best, visionaries."
Stan is one of the leading sports designers in the United States. His DLR Group resume includes spring training facilities for the Cincinnati Reds and New York Yankees, and he has led numerous public and private sector clients through the design of civic, collegiate, and professional sports facilities.
Stan's design and project leadership have improved the student-athlete and fan experience at the University of Florida, Ben Hill Griffith Stadium; University of Texas, UCFC Disch-Falk Field; and Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Neb., the 16,000 seat home of the Nebraska Cornhusker men's basketball team, and anchor of a $375 million urban redevelopment. He also led design for Davenport Field at Disharoon Park, home of the 2015 national champions University of Virginia Cavaliers baseball team.
"There's the old saying, ‘Like what you do, and you'll never work a day in your life.' Maybe that explains my passion for sports design."
Stan speaks at national facilities conferences on sports design. An avid baseball fan, he is a member of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) and co-chair of SABR's 800-member ballparks committee. Stan's project responsibilities include leading and facilitating a collective vision for projects, developing design concepts, and ensuring all appropriate resources are available to optimize a project's potential to drive revenue, recruiting, and recognition for clients.
