LEED AP BD+C, LC
Travis is a lighting designer with DLR Group in Denver, Colorado. His experience includes more than 200 lighting design projects for both private and public sector clients, including for several national monuments. Travis earned his Lighting Certification (LC) in 2015 and his LEED AP BD+C accreditation in 2009, and has worked on dozens of LEED-registered and LEED-certified projects throughout his career.
“I really love seeing my thoughts and ideas brought to life through the construction process. It always fascinates me how much lighting can change the way human beings experience a space, and how one small change to the lighting can make a space feel very different, and illicit a completely different set of emotions.”
He brings twenty three years of AutoCad experience and eight years of Revit experience into his projects and uses AGI32 on a regular basis to create detailed lighting and daylighting renderings in 3-D with colors and textures.
He is an active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America’s (IESNA) Rocky Mountain Chapter, for which he is currently serving his fifth term as Treasurer. Travis is also a Board Member for the Brilliance Awards, a lighting awards program created to recognize local lighting designers in the Rocky Mountain Region. He has given many lighting seminars within the architectural/engineering community in topics ranging from energy codes to LEDs, lighting controls, and daylighting.
