Design Achievement – The design for Westpark Area High School is intended to immerse users in relational experiences to further learning opportunities for all students. DLR Group's design breaks away from traditional spatial boundaries to create a campus of interconnected environments that unite formal learning spaces and alternative learning opportunities with community engagement and sustainable culture. Much more flexible than classrooms, five small learning communities (SLCs) provide students and faculty with groupings of adaptable spaces enabling individual, group, research and project-based learning styles. Each SCL rises from the campus nexus which is a series of dining, information resource, fitness and transaction environments where school and community actively engage.

Scope Summary – The scope of work for Westpark Area High School encompasses 305,000 SF on a new campus serving 2,000 students. Work includes site development, academics and athletics structures, and a new track and field. DLR Group is providing architecture and interior design services.
