“Jackie’s passion and vision will drive continued growth across the Pacific Northwest and nationwide,” says DLR Group Principal Stu Rothenberger, AIA. “Her expertise is an incredible asset, both to our internal teams and to our clients, and will help to elevate our firm’s reputation as a leader in higher education design.”
Eckhardt brings a unique perspective to the team. Her background in both architecture and campus planning gives her a deeper understanding of how to effectively meet the needs of today with the flexibility to address the unknowns of the future. Whether she is designing a new gateway to campus, or planning critical infrastructure upgrades, Eckhardt believes every project has the ability to positively impact the student experience on campus.
“Thoughtful campus projects contribute to the human experience through collective vision and collaborative partnerships which evolve the built environment,” says Eckhardt. "Campus work is inclusive by nature, with multidisciplinary input from a broad spectrum of stakeholders. I enjoy developing a comprehensive approach that supports purposeful thinking about near- and long-term strategy to achieve a client’s mission.”
Eckhardt is actively involved in the industry as a member of the American Institute of Architects and the Society for College and University Planning. She also has participated on the University of Washington’s Design Review Board and AIA Seattle’s Public Policy Board.
