Kevin leads DLR Group's K-12 practice in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma. He has designed more than seven million square feet of educational space across the Midwest in his career.
"I get to learn something new every day. I have been doing this for more than 30 years and every day I truly learn something new about our profession."
After a devastating tornado destroyed Joplin High School and one-third of the southeast Missouri community, Kevin rolled up his sleeves to help the school district rise from the rubble. In just 55 business days, Kevin led a team that transformed an abandoned big box retail store into a 21st Century high school for 1,200 students. His comprehensive planning process and creative design for Joplin Interim School helped DLR Group win the coveted Association for Learning Environments James D. MacConnell award. The interim school served as an incubator for the new Joplin High School, also designed by DLR Group.
