“As a business development professional, I am often on the front lines of opportunities that allow our design experts to improve the educational context for varying pedagogies and future learners at all levels.”
Khary leads business development efforts for the K-12 Education Studio, working directly with design teams serving educational institutions and local communities to solve their learning environment challenges. A diverse background in architecture, construction management, development, master planning, program management, and as a former educator gives him a deeper understanding of unique stakeholder perspectives and how effective collaboration leads to design solutions that meet the scholastic rights of all users.
In an effort to support and enhance the educational design industry, Khary continuously grows his knowledge and network through both professional and personal initiatives. His combined passion and degrees in education and architecture have led him to professional leadership certifications from the Coalition for Adequate Student Housing, the U.S. Green Building Council, and University of Southern California. He also is an active member of the Association for Learning Environments, the California Association of School Business Officials, and The San Marcos Promise, a nonprofit organization that provides post-secondary and career opportunities for high school graduates in his community.
“As a LEED accredited professional, I’m committed to understanding and contributing to sustainable design. I have made a personal choice to be part of a firm that recognizes environmental stewardship and educational advancement, and creatively implements them into every design as core values.”
