Design Achievement - This new luxury mixed-use development in Los Angeles intends to join a community of like-minded people who enjoy fitness and a high quality culinary food experience. The development’s main goal is to create a community of like-minded people who enjoy fitness and a high quality culinary food experience. Edin Park is slated to be a true great connector for the walkable neighborhood: a food emporium all in one dynamic, approachable community gathering place. DLR Group’s contemporary design utilizes glass steel façade with wood louver accents, being a catalyst of change towards a more modern and updated look and feel for the surrounding neighborhood. The open-air layout of the rooftop patio takes advantage of Southern California’s warm weather and will activate and enhance the overall nightlife scene for the community.
Scope Summary – The scope of work for this project encompasses 30,000 SF of two stories (plus an outdoor rooftop) and three dozen individual restaurant mini-concepts taking on small spaces in the 300 to 500 SF range, plus 1,500 SF communal area for diners. The U-shaped building will feature an outdoor courtyard with multi-tiered seating decks, a water wall, and park-like landscaping reminiscent of the High-Line and the Omotesando building roof deck in Tokyo. The first floor will include 15 food vendors and mini eateries with micro fitness concepts located on the second floor and a rooftop deck with views of the miracle mile district. DLR Group partnered with DK Design and provided full design including concept and entitlement services.
