Design Achievement – Santa Monica Boulevard Mixed-Use occupies a prominent high visibility site along Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood. DLR Group's contemporary exterior design of positive and negative space is broken down into specific architectural elements and materials in order to respond to pedestrian traffic and the scale of the street. Exterior materials include board-form concrete, metal rain screens and custom metal fabrications. Tenants are tailored to the neighborhood including a specialty market, upscale 2 story café, yoga studio, and creative office.

Scope Summary - The project is a new three story, 45,000 SF building with rooftop parking and a basement that includes the back of house for the 25,000 SF specialty market. The 16,000 SF of yoga and creative offices occupies the upper level, while the 2 story, 1,500 SF café is situated at the prominent corner. Planters for the purpose of rain water filtration occupy a significant portion of the upper exterior levels while vertical landscape green screens complement the building exterior. High efficiency buildings systems and water efficient landscaping are used throughout the project to reduce energy and water usage. DLR Group provided architecture and engineering services.
