Design Achievement - UFCU Disch-Falk Field had hosted multiple Texas Longhorn national championship baseball teams, but after 30 years a comprehensive renovation was in order to maintain its reputation as the nation's finest collegiate baseball venue. DLR Group designers worked with the Texas Athletic Department to deliver an upgraded facility to attract recruits and aid in player development while adding new revenue streams to support the program's long term success. Designers created opportunities to display the proud history of the Longhorn program on both the exterior and interior of the facility. The prominent glazed stair tower at the main entry is lit up in orange after every victory, and UT's athletic brand is well represented throughout the stadium with a palette of materials reflecting other athletic venues on campus.

Scope Summary - UFCU Disch-Falk Field features a new fa├žade, refurbished seating bowl with a full seat replacement, and four new rows of seating closer to the field with 107 premium seats. Total capacity is now 6,880. The renovation added a new press box and enhanced media area, 17 new suites, two party suites, expanded public concourses and plazas, a new field lighting system, team store, ticket office, picnic deck, and grass fan areas. A new player development area underneath the stadium includes custom-designed lockers, a weight room, training and equipment rooms, coaches' offices, and a team meeting room. DLR Group provided architecture services for this project.
