2026 ENR Midwest Best Energy/Industrial Project

Tilden Solar, a 186-megawatt facility that converts a former coal mine to clean power, was named Engineering News-Record Midwest’s Best Energy Project of 2026. The publication covers construction, design, and engineering achievements. DLR Group provided structural engineering for the innovative project, which supports a pollinator-friendly ecosystem and produces enough energy to power 34,000 homes.
