Stan Poreda to Present at HFSE 2025
Join our team at the upcoming Healthcare Facilities Symposium & Expo in San Diego. Associate and Senior Architect Stan Poreda, AIA, will present a session titled, “Anyone, Anything, Anytime: The High-Performance ED at Henry Ford Hospital.”
Inspired by the guiding principle “anyone, anything, anytime,” Henry Ford Health’s new hospital will feature an emergency department designed to redefine the future of emergency medicine. As Detroit’s safety net hospital, HFH ED clinicians are often the only point of contact for healthcare for underserved populations. This commitment to equity and access is reflected in every aspect of the new emergency department’s design.
Learning objectives include:
- Gain insight into HFH’s mission to close health disparities for underserved populations and elevate the standard of care for the broader community.
- Explore how the vision “anyone, anything, anytime” is a catalyst for reimagining flexible, adaptable emergency care environments.
- Evaluate flexibility as a core design principle shaping the HFH emergency department’s ability to meet evolving healthcare demands.
- Understand how staff wellbeing is fundamental to the design and prioritized through a human-centered approach that supports communication, resilience, and workplace wellness.
Stan will be accompanied by a distinguished panel of leaders from HFH, including Vice Chair of Operations, Department of Emergency Medicine Seth Krupp, M.D., and Vice President of Campus Planning & Operational Integration Jesse Balok, BS, MBA.
Their session will be held on the second day of the conference, Thursday, September 25, from 3:00 – 4:00 PM.
In partnership with HDR and Hamilton Anderson Associates, this project was completed by Tsoi Kobus Design prior to DLR Group’s acquisition in January of 2025.
