DLR Group to Present at UMACS 2025 Conference
Join our team at the upcoming Upper Midwest Association for Campus Sustainability Conference in Decorah, Iowa. Higher Education Leader Matthew Streed, AIA, LEED AP, and Smart Buildings Leader Ruairi Barnwell, HBDP, LEED AP BD+C, will lead a panel discussion titled “Innovations in Web-based Scenario Planning Tools to Educate and Drive Climate Action Decision-making.”
Matt and Ruairi will be accompanied by co-panelists Beth Mercer-Taylor, sustainability education program director at the Institute on the Environment; Amanda Kohn, sustainability project manager at the University of Minnesota; Tom Fisher, director of Minnesota Design Center and faculty member at the University of Minnesota; and Jacob Harris, a graduate student in the university’s Master of Science program.
This panel of researchers, educators, designers, and university stakeholders will explore software solutions that transform complex real-world data into clear, actionable scenario-planning tools. From global work with the Conference of the Parties to individual campus buildings, panelists will discuss tool development, current applications, future possibilities, and the value of diverse, cross-disciplinary teams.
The panel discussion will be held on the second day of the conference, Saturday, Sept. 27, from 9:45 AM – 10:45 AM.
