The report highlights a period of exceptional growth for the 100% employee-owned firm. Since 2020, DLR Group added nine offices and more than 600 design professionals, grew revenue from $279.6 million to $536.8 million, and increased employee owner investment by 126.7%. The firm’s design work earned more than 90 awards in 2025 alone.

Fast Company named DLR Group one of its Most Innovative Companies in 2025, recognizing the firm’s leadership in adaptive reuse projects. The Cleveland Museum of Natural History, for which DLR Group led a multiphase transformation, was honored as one of the World’s Most Beautiful Museums by Prix Versailles.

The firm is setting global benchmarks in mass timber construction with 30 projects totaling more than four million square feet, including Hines T3 Junction in Toronto and Common Pine, the first mass timber hotel in California. In December 2025, the Ismaili Center in Houston opened as the first of its kind in the United States, adding to a portfolio of transformative global projects that includes Saudi Arabia’s $150 million Madinah Gate development, MiZa in Abu Dhabi, and major projects in Shanghai.

The firm continued to make an impact in the communities in which it is rooted. The firm’s inaugural Day of Giving mobilized employee owners to volunteer 6,000 hours across more than 40 community organizations in a single day. More than 30 employee owners hold leadership positions in national organizations, and Chief Climate Officer Premnath Sundharam, AIA, CEM, became board chair Architecture 2030.

The firm expanded through two strategic acquisitions in 2025. Boston-based Tsoi Kobus Design joined in January, strengthening DLR Group’s healthcare and life sciences expertise. In August, Atlanta-based Collins Cooper Carusi Architects deepened the firm’s portfolio in K-12 and higher education, civic, and sports design while expanding its presence in the Southeast.

DLR Group’s commitment to climate-responsive design continued with 46 net zero ready and 15 LEED certified projects completed in 2025, including Oregon’s LEED Gold Clackamas County Courthouse.
