2025 IIDA Interior Design Excellence Award: Public Sector Winner

The Pinellas County Courts Annex was recognized by the International Interior Design Association Florida Central Chapter as the winner of the 2025 Interior Design Excellence Award in the Public Sector.

Pinellas County Family Court Annex uses evidence-based design to create a supportive environment for individuals experiencing stress and trauma. The project unifies court operations at the Justice Center campus and gives the family courts a separate identity within the judicial complex. This trauma-informed public workspace prioritizes comfort and ease of access for staff and visitors. This project was completed with local partner firm WDA Studio.

IIDA aims to recognize design excellence, encourage new ideas and techniques, and build public awareness in the field of interior design. IIDA Florida Central Chapter is dedicated to building a strong community of design professionals across Florida, with over 200 members spanning Tampa, Sarasota, and Orlando.
