DLR Group Relocates to Larger Houston Office Amid Texas Growth

(Houston, Feb. 232026) – Fueled by momentum across Texas, the 100% employee-owned global integrated design firm DLR Group proudly announced its move to a larger Houston office, following the recent launch of its Fort Worth location in October 2025. With four offices in Texas, the firm’s expanding presence across Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, and Houston signals its strategic growth in the state’s fast-growing markets.

DLR Group’s Texas practice has grown revenue by nearly 300% in the past four years, reflecting strategic investments in office infrastructure and talent acquisition. With an expanded platform, the firm is prepared to meet increasing demand for integrated design solutions that support growing cities and communities across Texas.

A Larger Office Footprint in Houston

DLR Group relocated this month to a larger Houston office on the 19 floor of 1000 Louisiana St. With capacity for up to 75 employee-owners, the new office nearly doubles the square footage of the previous studio and supports growth across Cultural+Performing Arts, Higher Education, Justice+Civic, K-12 Education, and Workplace sectors.

A 2025 AIA Houston Firm of the Year award winner, DLR Group’s Houston studio is delivering projects shaping civic, cultural, and educational life in Texas. Recent work includes the Ismaili Center, Houston the first Ismaili civic and cultural complex in the United States, designed by Farshid Moussavi in partnership with DLR Group and Texas A&M University’s Aplin Center, the university’s first mass timber academic building, designed by DLR Group and Pickard Chilton. The Houston studio is also delivering a 309,000-SF, nature-integrated junior high for Conroe Independent School District. The future-ready project honors Texas logging history, featuring a locally rooted design with flexible, collaborative learning spaces.

New Office in Fort Worth

DLR Group’s Fort Worth studio recently launched in one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation. Current projects include a comprehensive modernization of Texas Christian University’s Ed Landreth Hall. The studio provides institutional and developer clients with localized service connected to national practice resources.

Growing Offices in Austin and Dallas

Renovations are underway at DLR Group’s Austin office to accommodate a growing team of architects, engineers, interior designers, and planners. Notable Austin-based projects include T3 ATX Eastside, a 92,000-SF Class-A mass timber office and residential project created in collaboration with developer Hines, and a community-driven long-range plan with Austin Independent School District that led to a historic $2.4 billion bond in 2022. The first project derived from the Long Range Plan, Burnet Middle School, broke ground fall 2025. The reimagined and modernized school will serve 1,200 Austin 6-8 graders.

DLR Group relocated its Dallas office to a new space in the Deep Ellum neighborhood in 2024. With plans to expand this summer, the studio will accommodate over 100 employee owners across multiple disciplines.

In addition to designing hundreds of offices in the Dallas area for clients ranging from law and financial firms to creative agencies and technology giants, the firm is advancing transformative projects for Dallas-area school districts, including Longview Independent School District, which broke ground on a CTE facility, a multipurpose facility addition, and a natatorium in summer 2025.

DLR Group’s projects in early design in Texas include a public safety campus in Plano – integrating a new police headquarters, 911 communication center, central utility plant, parking garage and Fire Station 14 – and the new Ector County Courthouse in Odessa, which will replace the 1938 facility with a new multi-story building, for which Butler-Cohen and DLR Group are leading the design and construction.

By bringing together expertise across architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, in addition to specialty disciplines, DLR Group’s expanding Texas teams deliver holistic, efficient solutions that position communities for long-term growth.
