Rick’s 40-year career has focused on planning, and design across the full spectrum of healthcare, higher education, commercial life sciences, and research enterprises. His academic appointments have included Boston Architectural College design critic and Harvard Graduate School of Design teaching fellow. Rick’s work has received national awards, and he was named one of Healthcare Design's “25 Most Influential People in Healthcare Design.”

He has published and lectured on principles of professional architectural training and education and has played a central role in developing such programs. He is also an active member of TAG, a consortium of Boston-area firms that discuss the industry’s evolution.
