DLR Group Leverages US Mass Timber Manufacturing Growth

Mass timber is gaining momentum across the U.S., and with that growth comes a critical shift toward domestic sourcing. After years of depending on European and Canadian suppliers, expanding U.S. production of mass timber is becoming essential to scaling adoption and meeting market expectations.

With this shift, DLR Group Senior Associate Bobby Larson, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, explores two mass timber projects that highlight the firm’s work with American-grown mass timber. Rooted in a long-standing commitment to sustainable, human-centered design, DLR Group’s work reflects a broader move toward greater material transparency and a deeper connection to place, where understanding a building’s materials at every scale is becoming the norm.
