Delivery Model

Progressive Design-Build

Originally completed in 1960, Richard J. Neutra Elementary School is being modernized to support today’s students while respecting its historic design. Created by architect Richard Neutra and located at Naval Air Station Lemoore in central California, the campus reflects his approach to flexible learning spaces shaped by light, air, and outdoor access. The renewed campus builds on these ideas with new and updated spaces for visual and performing arts, a multipurpose building, classrooms, and landscaped green spaces and playgrounds.

Design elements inspired by the Air Station, including aircraft outlines and aircraft carrier deck markings, guide visitors and reflect daily life on base. The result is a learning environment that supports student success, reflects its setting, and serves military families now and into the future. Through a progressive design-build collaboration with Bush Construction, the project aims to deliver a campus built for longevity and flexibility.
