A Place For Veterans

Client

Carnegie Management

Area

183,000 SF

Project Type

Outpatient

Locations

Rochester, NY + Springfield, MO

Designed to embody the Veterans Affair’s mission of improving the quality of life for veterans, visitors, and staff, this program creates greater access to healthcare and broadens the range of services available. Expanding clinics’ offerings significantly improves the lives of veterans in immediate and surrounding communities. Clinics are designed to offer patients a comforting environment with an abundance of natural daylight.

Medical planning is inspired by the patient-aligned care team, where providers gather to address the needs of the patients. Providers collaborate in off-stage, staff work areas to offer comprehensive care to veterans. This innovative design is patient-driven, proactive, personalized, and fosters team-oriented interactions. Various design strategies are employed across locations to achieve the most successful site integrations.
