With almost 30 years of experience working in New York, Losonczy has devoted her career to designing joyful and memorable learning environments, many of them in historic contexts. Her expertise spans from master planning and architectural design to complex adaptive reuse projects. Having served as the architect for a diverse range of K-12 and higher education institutions, she has a nuanced understanding of the evolving challenges that academic institutions are constantly faced with.

With a people-centered and contextual approach to design, she collaborates with school communities to create responsive, welcoming learning spaces that enhance wellbeing. Her projects have won numerous local and international awards, have been featured in books on school design, and exhibited in the Museum of the City of New York. Losonczy strongly believes in environmentally responsible design and her commitment to sustainability is reflected in her work, which includes the very first LEED-Certified school in New York City, and a net-zero energy student residence in Massachusetts.

Losonczy is a respected thought leader and advocate in the design industry. She currently co-chairs the AIA New York Education Committee, serves on the Board of the Association for Learning Environments, New York Chapter, and is a Fellow of the Urban Design Forum. She has authored articles on a wide range of topics relating to academic settings and is a frequent speaker at national conferences on school design.
