Two Awards for DLR Group's Design of Carbon Neutral Dining Facility

(DENVER, June 22, 2023) – DLR Group has won two awards for Swarthmore College Dining from the Rocky Mountain International Interior Design Association’s annual BEST Awards: the BEST Award in the Eat & Drink category and the BEST of the BEST Award for 2023.

IIDA Rocky Mountain Chapter’s BEST Awards recognize interior design projects that go above and beyond, truly encompassing Brilliantly Executed Spaces and Thinking.

The Judges’ Comments describe the project, “the build is pure, simplistic, timeless, and will last generations to come. The concept of trees and nourishment is evident in the material selection and timber construction method. The high curved roof/ceiling and full-height views support this concept. Living Building Challenge accepted and crushed.”
