At the time of joining DLR Group, Sorg Architects was one of the largest woman-owned firms in the United States. With a commitment to evidence-based design and collaborative leadership, Sorg Architects built a reputation for modern, sustainable design that responded to site, context, climate and culture.

Over 29 years, Sorg Architects had an award-winning portfolio including recognition from the American Institute of Architects and features in Architectural Record and Metropolis. Their robust portfolio included public and community projects around the globe from District of Columbia Public Schools and Department of General Services to embassies in Afghanistan, Barbados, and Indonesia.

The addition of Sorg Architects’ design ethos and global portfolio bolsters DLR Group’s foundation in delivering innovative and lasting solutions to civic and federal clients centered in the Capitol of the United States.
