Erica leads our Preservation discipline, specializing in the restoration and rehabilitation of historic properties. With over 25 years of experience, she balances preservation with functional, cost-effective solutions for public clients. She also leads our Portland office, championing culture and business acumen among its employee owners.

Karen is an experienced architect and facilities planner. She has demonstrated expertise in leading the programming, planning, and educational specifications processes. Karen is registered as an Accredited Learning Environments Planner through the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE) and an Oregon Department of Education TAP Certified Assessor

Jesse leads lighting design at DLR Group. His experience includes lighting design for K-12 and higher education, hospitality, and workplace with specialized experience in the performing arts. He has a Master of Fine Arts in Architectural Lighting Design from the Parsons’ School of Design.

Abbey is an experienced interior designer and has worked on diverse projects for municipalities, school districts, colleges and universities, and private companies. She brings the experience of coordinating projects ranging from large new construction to office tenant improvements as well as a wide variety of project types. Abbey loves problem-solving in the context of developing strong relationships with clients and her team members. She balances function and form, while focusing on the details that bring together a successful space.
