A Series of Interconnected Places

Hub Fullerton unfolds along its 862-foot site as a collection of distinct volumes rather than one uninterrupted structure. At the east end, townhomes meet the street in brick, wood, and warm tones drawn from the surrounding neighborhood. Moving west, the palette shifts and the building takes on a more energetic, public character. Across the facade, the massing steps back to introduce light wells, reducing the building’s perceived length and creating rhythm along the street. Where the parking structure faces the freeway, a living screen of climbing plantings softens the garage, with space for large-scale murals to reflect local character.

An Outdoor Room

A central paseo threads through Hub Fullerton, anchoring circulation, gathering, and programmed activity as an active outdoor room. Seating and landscape elements shape the space, reinforced by a coffee shop that connects the residential lobby directly to the paseo. Ground-floor retail lines a commercial corridor, set back beneath a covered colonnade that buffers the sidewalk and creates space for planting. At the primary corner, aligned with a key campus path, the building pulls back to form a gateway to the university, framed by green screens and climbing plantings that establish a lush presence over time.

Space to Study, Space to Rest

Amenities support students across the rhythms of early morning to late into the evening, from focus to recovery. Group and private study areas give residents flexible space to work, while the roof deck, pool, and fitness and yoga studios support downtime. A spa, movie theater room, and resident lounges add further places to gather and unwind, with secure bike storage keeping students connected to campus. The ground-floor coffee shop rounds out a program built around balance as much as community.
