Join our team at AIA24 in Washington, D.C., the year’s premiere architectural industry event. We’ll cover everything from biophilic design to career development in several sessions across the multi-day event.

  1. Taking Care of Business: Entrepreneurship or Intrapreneurship? | June 5th, 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
    Managing Principal and Chair of the Board Griff Davenport, FAIA, will share his unique perspective from his time at our 100% employee-owned firm in a panel workshop geared toward architects considering entrepreneurship.   2. Architecture + Advocacy: Building Community Agency Through Youth-Led Design Builds | June 5th, 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM
    Associate and Designer Abriannah Aiken’s session will present case studies of community-led design builds. In a fast-paced session, she will share participatory design strategies that re-center the community as a vital contributor and build the community’s power as change makers.   3. Leading with Vulnerability: Bringing your whole self to work | June 6th, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
    Principal and Talent Acquisition Leader Kate Thuesen, AIA, NOMA; Senior Associate and Senior Planning Leader Korey D. White, AIA; and Senior Associate and Human Resources Leader Maddie McCauley, SHRM-SCP, will present on the value of bringing vulnerability to the work environment.   4. Biophilic Design, Therapy, & Wellness: Joy Evans Therapeutic Recreation Center | June 7th, 10:15 AM 12:45 PM
    Designer Jonathan Tolbert, Assoc. AIA  accompanied by Principal and Washington, D.C. Studio Leader Rachel Chung will share the integration of biophilic design into Joy Evans Therapeutic Recreation Center. The project promotes healing and well-being in a new expression of therapeutic design for neurodivergent sensory recreation. Tours, program code ET205
  5. Studio Night: Penn Quarter | June 6th, 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM
