(Columbus, Ohio, Sept. 22, 2026) – DLR Group and RAMSA (Robert A.M. Stern Architects) are collaborating on Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s newest Close To Home^SM center in New Albany, Ohio. Planned on 25 acres donated by The New Albany Company and its owners, the three-story outpatient facility brings advanced urgent care, specialty clinics, imaging, laboratory, and therapy services together in a single pediatric healthcare destination. Designed to support children, families, and caregivers, the project expands access to care in one of Ohio’s fastest-growing communities while creating a flexible foundation for future growth.

The Close To Home^SM center reflects a collaborative design effort between DLR Group, RAMSA, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. DLR Group provided architecture, interiors, structural and MEP engineering, signage, audio-visual, and lighting design services, while RAMSA led the building envelope and exterior design concepts. REALM Collaborative provided site design and landscape architecture.

Once complete, the 215,000-SF facility will unite advanced urgent care, specialty clinics, imaging, laboratory, and therapy services within a welcoming pediatric healthcare environment. The campus will include dedicated parking, safe vehicular circulation, walking trails, and dining areas that support the wellbeing of patients, families, and staff.

The design balances the recognizable quality of Nationwide Children’s Hospital facilities with the character of the New Albany community. Planned for long-term flexibility, the campus prioritizes operational efficiency, intuitive navigation, and thoughtful connections to shell space reserved for future expansion.
