Salus joined DLR Group in May 2021. Salus was exclusively dedicated to healthcare design, with a special focus on the design of complex acute and ambulatory care facilities. The firm delivered award-winning healthcare facilities to clients across the pacific northwest of the United States.

Salus was founded in 2014 by R. David Frum, FAIA, FACHA, together with Dale Anderson, AIA, EDAC and Douglas McNutt, AIA. Their firm was grounded in a design ethos of curiosity, collaboration, and user-centered environments.
With a portfolio of more than 300 projects, Salus worked with healthcare clients primarily in Oregon and Washington states, advancing technological innovations and patient comfort. Their clients included EvergreenHealth and numerous projects for The Polyclinic.
Today, DLR Group’s global healthcare practice builds on the proven foundation of Salus’ specialized expertise.
