The new building offers a comfortable home environment for seniors who wish to stay on the GRIC reservation but who have needs beyond the capabilities of family. The value of community is embedded in the planning of the facility, with central activity spaces, places for indoor and outdoor participation and interaction, and a front porch for residents.

Outdoor areas offer lush landscaping, raised planter beds for gardening, exercise lawns, fruit trees, and walking paths. Traditional support is provided for residents with accommodations for skilled nursing, dementia care, rehabilitation, and hospice. Gila River Skilled Nursing brings families back together, allowing for necessary healthcare without sacrificing cultural values, respect, or comfort.
