The Minnesota Twins Baseball Club aspired to reimagine the Champions Club, their most elite fan experience, into a space that reflects luxury, comfort, and a distinctly Minnesotan identity, all while maintaining a strong connection to the game. Our design fulfills this vision by transforming the Champions Club into a timeless, open, and immersive experience that celebrates both the sport and region. Rooted in an understanding of Minnesota and its fans, the design reflects what makes the Twins experience meaningful – from the cold of an April home opener to the desire for an unobstructed connection to the field. The result is a hospitality environment that feels personal, approachable, and distinctly rooted in place.

The reconfigured layout removes visual barriers and enhances sightlines, fostering a dynamic, social atmosphere that keeps fans engaged. A new open-concept kitchen introduces culinary theater, while a variety of seating, from plush booths to high-top tables, supports both intimate and communal experiences. The activated entry sequence, featuring a bartender, trophy cases, and jersey displays, draws guests into the full depth of the club, while diversified seating accommodates families, corporate groups, and individual fans alike. Experiential graphic design elements, including integrated team branding and curated storytelling moments, deepen the emotional connection between fans and the Twins’ legacy. Material selections reinforce the connection to Minnesota, pairing real wood, aged metal, and Kasota Stone-inspired limestone with wool plaid and patinaed leather that subtly reference the region’s logging history and the character of a baseball glove. The result is a premium space that feels personal, authentic, and unlike any other in Major League Baseball.

The 11,200-SF renovation of the Champions Club redefines the premiere premium hospitality experience at Target Field through a comprehensive reimagining of spatial layout, finishes, and amenities. Key program elements include expanded club seating, an open-concept lounge, and a redefined culinary zone featuring a show kitchen and custom bar areas. Opening the kitchen to the main dining area transforms food preparation from a back-of-house operation into a central part of the guest experience, with opportunities for local chefs and specialty culinary events. The removal of interior partitions and a central fireplace opens the space, improving visibility and circulation while maximizing usable square footage. The interior palette features rich wood materials, deep blue upholstery, and patterned carpeting that defines zones and adds visual texture. Warm, layered lighting and high-end millwork and furnishings reinforce the club’s elevated yet approachable identity. The bar area will serve as a central gathering point, framed by illuminated shelving and a range of seating options to accommodate diverse guest preferences.

Experiential graphic design plays a critical role in customizing the environment through bespoke installations that celebrate the team history and brand, including wood-paneled columns with the Twins logo, large digital screens, and curated memorabilia. These visual elements seamlessly integrate into the overall design, reinforcing the club’s identity and enhancing the overall atmosphere. Together, these choices apply a hospitality-centric lens to the sports venue, creating a space that supports both the energy of the game and the comfort, connection, and flexibility expected of a premium destination.
