Across the street from the baseball program’s facility, we designed the Softball Development Facility at Red & Charline McCombs Field for the perennial national powerhouse Longhorn Softball program. Also focused on the performance of, and convenience for, student-athletes, the dynamic facility features an indoor hitting and pitching lab, new team locker room, player lounge, team meeting room, coaches’ offices and locker rooms, and renovated sports medicine and hydrotherapy areas.

Challenged with an extremely tight site, the project takes advantage of every square inch of available space and transforms what were dark and unwelcoming spaces underneath the existing stadium into refreshed and vibrant spaces that student-athletes are delighted to utilize.
