Architect Kenneth Jandura Elevated to AIA College of Fellows

(WASHINGTON, D.C., February 27, 2020) – The American Institute of Architects has announced DLR Group Principal Kenneth Jandura, FAIA, has been elevated to the College of Fellows as part of its 2020 appointments. The honor was awarded to 116 members who have made significant contributions to the architecture profession.

Jandura joined DLR Group in 2014 as a principal working out of the Washington, D.C. office. He is an instrumental leader in Justice + Civic work who has successfully led the design and planning of many of DLR Group’s court projects, including the Litchfield Judicial District Courthouse in Connecticut, the Red Deer Justice Center in Alberta, and the recent design of the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Center in Doha. He has published numerous articles on human-focused courthouse planning including “Trauma-Informed Courthouse Design.”

The AIA fellowship program was developed to elevate those architects who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession and made a significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level. Prospective candidates must have at least 10 years of AIA membership and demonstrated influence by promoting the aesthetic, scientific, and practical efficiency of the profession; promoting the science and art of planning and building by advancing the standards of architectural education, training or practice; coordinating the building industry and profession of architecture through leadership in the AIA or other related organization; or advancing the living standards of people through improved environments.
