DLR Group Recognized Globally for Transformative Interior Design in 2026
(Seattle, July 27, 2026) – The 100% employee-owned, integrated design firm DLR Group is celebrating award-winning interior design on local, national, and global stages this year. The firm’s geographic, market sector, and design diversity is reflected in more than 25 awards spanning K-12 and higher education, justice and civic, hospitality, mixed-use, healthcare, and workplace design.
DLR Group earned top industry honors from the International Interior Design Association including IIDA Rocky Mountain Chapter’s Firm of the Year Award and multiple BEST and Award of Merit recognitions across regions.
- IIDA Rocky Mountain Chapter recognized Core Spaces – Hub Bloomington in Bloomington, Indiana and Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado with BEST-level honors within residential and full-service hospitality categories, while recognizing Grand Junction High School in Grand Junction, Colorado with an Award of Merit for K-12 education design.
- The IIDA Southwest Chapter honored Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Journey to Recovery Residential Treatment Campus in Phoenix, Arizona with an Award of Merit in the healthcare inpatient category. Additional Award of Merit recognitions for unbuilt work include The Nox, a new live music venue in Mesa, Arizona, and Tolleson High School – Estrella Vista Academy in Avondale, Arizona.
- Temple Israel in Memphis, Tennessee received top honors in the “Serve: Best of Government/Institutional & Public Assembly” category from IIDA Georgia, while Ten Tenths Motor Club in Concord, North Carolina was recognized by IIDA Carolinas with both a hospitality award and an honorable mention for design detail.
- The IIDA Oregon Chapter awarded a People’s Choice distinction to the Clackamas County Circuit Courthouse, Oregon’s first courthouse built through a public-private partnership.
- Additional IIDA recognition includes the Calibre Awards in Southern California, where the team won the education award for Compton Unified School District’s new Compton High School.
Internationally, DLR Group designers were celebrated through the Commercial Interior Design Awards and Design Middle East Awards, where Associate and Interior Designer Basant Ibrahim, was recognized as Emerging Interior Designer of the Year and Principal and Middle East Interior Design Director Vaida Buchrotaite as Interior Designer of the Year. Projects such as Yem Al Mina were also honored for design excellence in hospitality.
- Hospitality work continues to be a strong driver of recognition for the firm, with accolades from the MUSE Hotel Awards for The Vanguard, La Serre Brasserie, and Momentum KC at the Cascade Hotel, each earning gold awards across boutique hotel, restaurant, and bar and lounge categories. Other hospitality honors this year include multiple NEWH TopID 2026 honors awarded across Denver, Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Firm leadership and projects such as Chamonix Hotel and Casino in Cripple Creek, Colorado and Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, California received recognition.
- The Mohawk Group Believe in Better Awards recognized Gretna East High School in Omaha, Nebraska and Temple Israel in Memphis, Tennessee for advancing design impact and community outcomes.
