DLR Group Taps Tom Ingram as K-12 Education Leader

(Atlanta, April 9, 2026) – DLR Group announces Principal Thomas Ingram, AIA, NCARB, as K-12 Education client leader in Atlanta. In his role, Ingram serves as a trusted partner between the firm’s independent school and higher education clients and its design studios. He collaborates with school leaders, community stakeholders, and design teams to ensure future-ready learning opportunities are delivered through integrated design.

Ingram touts over three decades of experience in the A/E/C industry and holds a bachelor’s degree in design from Clemson University, as well as a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Virginia. His approach blends a broad perspective on design, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement to develop a deep understanding of each institution’s culture, operations, and long-term goals. His design portfolio includes some of the most reputable independent school and higher education institutions across the southeast United States and has been recognized as award-winning by the AIA, Learning by Design, and Student Housing Business Magazine, among other organizations.

Supporting his peers and the next generation of education designers is important to Ingram. He’s served in board leadership roles with the AIA Atlanta chapter and previously served as both a member and chair of the City of Decatur Historic Preservation Commission. He’s also contributed to industry dialogue by presenting at annual conferences for the Georgia Association of Physical Plant Administrators and the Georgia Association of State Facilities Administrators, sharing insights on planning and delivering institutional facilities.
