DLR Group Expands Justice+Civic Studio

(SACRAMENTO, August 5, 2021) – DLR Group recently hired two new business development leaders in their Justice + Civic studio expanding their reach into growing regions of the country. Cristi Payne and Tracy Covington join the firm in Texas and California, respectively.

Payne brings nearly 25 years of business development leadership in the justice markets with her focus on rehabilitative public spaces. “We’re excited to have Cristi on the team to develop our rapidly expanding Texas market. She brings in a strong connection of networked client relationships,” said Sr. Principal Darrell Stelling who leads the Global Justice+Civic Studio. Payne has received numerous awards recognizing her contribution to the correctional industry in the American Correctional Association and the International Community Corrections Association.

Covington brings almost 20 years in the industry with a focus on California state, county and city relationships over the last 8 years. She is a Board Member of the California Counties Foundation and a Planning Commissioner for the City of Roseville; and she is actively involved with the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) and Design Build Institute of America (DBIA), among other organizations. “Tracy’s enthusiasm for building strong client relationships drives her success in leading us into partnerships with our government-agency client base,” said Stelling. “She’s highly respected as an expert in the industry by our partners and peers which opens many opportunities for the team.”
