Forbes Details DLR Group's Master Plan for 2027 World Expo
DLR Group is gearing up for the announcement of the World Expo bid winner, as is the rest of the world, with Forbes covering the firm’s master plan design for the Bloomington, Minnesota bid. If selected, this will be the first World Expo in the U.S. since the 1980s. The U.S. is competing against Argentina, Serbia, Spain, and Thailand to host the three-month event.
Imagine hosting 92 Super Bowls on consecutive days. Or imagine hosting an event that will create 33,000 jobs while generating $733 million in new spending for the U.S. You've just imagined Bloomington, Minnesota hosting the 2027 World Expo."
Nearly 40 years since the last U.S.-based World Expo, DLR Group has positioned the U.S. as a top contender to host up to 170 countries exhibiting their expertise in the theme, “Healthy People, Healthy Planet – Wellness and Well-Being for All.” In early summer, the world will discover if DLR Group’s master plan is brought to life as the firm will act as the design coordinator and master architect.
