DLR Group Receives Design Award from Marriott International
Marriott International has recognized our firm with its Interior Design Excellence award. The award is given to Marriott’s consulting firms as an acknowledgement of excellence in hospitality design for its classic and distinctive Marriott Select brands based on input from Marriott’s design, development, and brand teams. Representatives from our firm’s Hospitality Studio were in attendance to accept the award during Marriott’s 2018 Connect Conference on December 17, 2018.
“It’s an immense honor to have the largest hotelier in the world value our design contributions,” said Principal Tom Mitchell, who leads the firm’s Hospitality Studio. “As a long-time collaborator with Marriott, our team feels incredibly humbled by and grateful for this distinction.”
Our Hospitality Studio has completed designs for multiple Marriott brand hotels, including 23 AC Hotels in markets from coast to coast. The firm’s design work for Marriott also includes the new build JW Marriott at Mall of America in Bloomington; The Laylow, Marriott Autograph Collection in Honolulu; The Elizabeth, Marriott Autograph Collection in Fort Collins; and a dual brand Autograph and AC Hotel in Silicon Valley.
